Overview:
The Client is looking for a Surveillance and Access Control Technician -III.
Duties:
- IT Professional that works in a team responsible for facilities-based systems, including but not limited to, surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication.
- This work includes all aspects of design, planning, installation, and support of the afore mentioned systems, including supporting desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor multiple state-wide networks, we are filtering with Palo Altos and Zscaler, as well as mitigating issues as they arise.
- Responsible for extensive system documentation creation and updates.
- Work is performed at the agency’s nearly 200 locations, state-wide, including the agency’s many secure sites, often independently.
- Delegation and improvisational skills, creativity, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills required. Day travel is also required, and long days are common.
- Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting.
- Provides tactical and strategic input on overall systems planning and related projects. Surveillance, network, and server support capabilities with 10 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently, performs a variety of tasks.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Top skills and years of experience:
- 3 years of experience working with Video Surveillance Knowledge (Network/Server/Workstation)
- 3 years of experience with Cisco Networking Knowledge (Routers & Switches)
- 2 years of experience with Web Filtering Knowledge (Palo Alto & Zscaler)
Nice to have skills:
- Door Controls Knowledge
- Building Automation Knowledge
