The Salesforce Senior Architect manages major projects that involve providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation, and transition of large, complex systems.
This individual is responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Design and development of service cloud solutions and taking responsibility for technical design and implementation of the architecture.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and backend applications.
- Providing expertise on designing data models for case records, citizen profiles, eligibility histories, and high-volume datasets.
- Providing definition of current State architecture blueprints.
- Providing expertise with LDV optimization, archiving strategies, and ETL best practices.
- Providing experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and asynchronous processing patterns (Batch, Queueable, Future).
- Researching new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes.
- Comparing various solutions and determining the most suitable.
- Ensuring that development efforts are well-planned and in compliance to standards.
- Advanced understanding of custom metadata types, platform events, dynamic Apex, and modular enterprise code design.
- Capable of modeling normalized and denormalized structures aligned with compliance and interoperability standards.
- Expertise in designing multi-agency access control using OWDs, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, and Apex-based access logic.
- Proficiency in real-time, batch, and event-driven integration using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft).
- Skilled in API-led integration design, connecting Salesforce with legacy systems, federal databases, and external vendors.
- Designs API-led connectivity strategies with system, process, and experience APIs using MuleSoft.
- Enforces API security, rate limiting, monitoring, and data transformation policies through Anypoint Platform.
- Leads CI/CD architecture using tools like Jenkins, Copado, and Git-based branching strategies.
- Designs release pipelines for multi-org environments with dependency tracking, rollback planning, and change management.
- Integrates mobile applications with Salesforce via Heroku APIs or External Services. and
- Designs and implements SSO models using SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
Education:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline. (Note: A Master’s degree is preferred.) and additionally Certified Application Architect or Certified System Architect certification from Salesforce.
General Experience:
- The proposed candidate must have at least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems.
- This individual must have led or been chief architect in a major IT applications implementation effort.
- This individual must also have a strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.
Specialized Experience:
- The proposed candidate must have at least six (6) years of experience in designing medium to large-scale Salesforce Service cloud solutions, and management of at least five Salesforce applications.
