Job Description:
The Client is seeking a Legal Analyst to Provide technical support and guidance in developing and interpreting policy, legislative, as well as regulatory proposals for the client. Key aspects of this position are providing legal/regulatory analysis for the client staff and acting as liaison to the Office of the Attorney General to coordinate procurement claims and support leadership with legislative analysis during General Assembly sessions.

Job Description:
The Client is seeking a Legal Analyst to Provide technical support and guidance in developing and interpreting policy, legislative, as well as regulatory proposals for the client. Key aspects of this position are providing legal/regulatory analysis for the client staff and acting as liaison to the Office of the Attorney General to coordinate procurement claims and support leadership with legislative analysis during General Assembly sessions.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support and Guidance:
- Provide technical support and guidance in developing and interpreting policy, legislative, as well as regulatory proposals for the client particularly related to procurement and GA.
Legislative Analysis:
- Provide analysis of procurement-related legislation to the client leadership. Serve as the client lead during general assembly legislative sessions. Analyze impacts and provide status reports to operational areas as needed.
Coordination:
- Coordinate legislative briefings and debarment actions in conjunction with the Governance and Procurement Program Managers and the Office of the Attorney General. Serve as liaison to the Attorney General's Office to resolve legal issues.
Qualifications:
- Communication & collaboration experience with excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, and the ability to simplify technical terms and collaborate with diverse personnel.
Additional Considerations:
- Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certificate.
- Experience in a state or local agency.
